About the venue
Where automotive design meets art and architecture
MAC Museum Art & Cars in Singen brings automotive history into conversation with fine art, photography and light installations. Across MAC1 and MAC2, approximately 4,000 square metres of exhibition space accommodate changing displays of rare classics, racing cars and prototypes, exploring the relationship between engineering, design and artistic expression.
The architecture forms part of the experience. Designed by Daniel Binder in response to the surrounding Hohentwiel landscape, the two buildings have distinct characters: MAC1 follows soft, flowing curves, while MAC2 uses angular forms and textured surfaces. Together, they provide contrasting settings for the exhibitions inside.
Among the automotive attractions is MAC2’s exhibition of prestigious 1920s and 1930s coachwork by Erdmann & Rossi, featuring vehicles from the Saulius Karosas collection. It offers a closer look at an era when specialist coachbuilders created individual bodies for some of the world’s most distinguished cars.
